Are you a history buff? Explore the rich history of Long Island just minutes from our luxury hotel at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site. Located in scenic Oyster Bay, Sagamore Hill was the home of the 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt. Known as the "Summer White House," Roosevelt called this home from 1885 until his finals days in 1919. Nestled right along the coast, it is an incredible example of Queen Anne architecture with soaring rooms and antiques. It makes an excellent stop in the summer time after a trip to the beach or in between swims at our outdoor courtyard pool.
There is no fee to explore the grounds at Sagamore Hill or the Old Orchard Museum. Access to the historic home is available only with a guided tour from Wednesday to Sunday. Admission to the home is $10 per person but note that tickets are limited. Day-of tickets go on sale every day at 9 am but are usually sold out before early afternoon.
This national historic landmark is located an easy drive from our all-suites luxury hotel. You can reach Sagamore Hill in less than 15 minutes from your elegant suite.
