St. Patrick's Day Celebration
Sunday, March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day, when parades fill nearly every town on Long Island, with a special St. Patty’s celebration on every corner. Here are some of the best:
24th Annual Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The largest parade of the year in Glen Cove gathers behind Finley Middle School at 1pm, then follows Glen Street to St. Patrick’s Church. Wear your brightest green outfit, and watch it anywhere along the way!
Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub
With delicious Irish food, live bagpipers, step dancers, and a traditional Irish band, there’s no place better to celebrate St. Patty’s on Long Island than Napper Tandy’s. Best of all, they open at 10am!
Corned Beef & Chaos 2013
The Emporium in Patchogue is hosting this year’s ultimate Long Island St. Patrick’s Day extravaganza, 12-5pm. The $1 drinks, free corned beef until 2pm, games, and live music make it worth the 30-mile drive.
