Long Island Children's Museum

Long Island Children's Museum is a hands-on museum for kids and their grown-ups. The museum offers interactive exhibits and events that stimulates your child's curiosity and imagination and offers cool places to explore, play, learn and have fun. LICM features interactive galleries with exhibits, workshops, theater performances and school activity programs. Experience the magic of making music in mUSic, build a 3D world in Bricks and Sticks, broadcast the news in the Communication Station, and discover ways animals hunt and eat in Feasts For Beasts.

  • Can you bring outside food?

    The museum features a cafeteria with vending machines with food and beverages. Groups must call in advance to reserve cafeteria space. Food and beverages are not permitted in the Museum galleries or gift shop.
  • What types of exhibits are there?

    The LICM features many interactive galleries with hands-on exhibits where kids play, explore, imagine and learn. Explore exciting galleries, such as: mUSic, Bubbles, Pattern Studio, Sandy Island, Feasts For Beasts, Communication Station, Tot Spot, Changes and Challenges, Our Backyard, ClimbIt@LICM, and It's Alive! Kids of all ages discover nature, science, technology, and the world around us.
